Default how to write a funcard with 6in1? - 15th September 2003, 07:43 PM

I got the keys I need for Telstar5, I was told I should use two files, a 6 in 1 file but I do not know more than that.
What are the two files I need? Are they only two files despite the fact the programmer asks for three files?
Can you tell me an editor I should use for the 6in1 file, please?

Salut ,
In primul profider id, baga urlatoarele:
- provId: c101
- primul key: cheia activa.

Inca odata asta solutia asta e valabila daca ai MAgic Module CAM.

Those 3 files are:
  • Atmel Flash e.g. "Fun_6in1_AT90S8515_V4.40.hex".
Needed in any case. Contains a modified IrdetoACS1.2
or a specially modified SECA1. Needed in any case.
  • An optional small internal Atmel data EEPROM.
AFAIK needed only for SECA1 allCAMs for patched Pioneer receivers
or so called Italian Goldboxes. Not needed for Irdeto1.2 allCAMs.
  • The external (I2C) EEPROM file. Contains providers and keys.
    Needed in any case.

Formlerly I used a "Multiprog 2001 XL" progger as hardware for this.
You should have something capable of the AVR/SPI (and optionally
also the ISO-7816) protocol for writing the flash file:

"Fun_6in1_AT90S8515_V4.40.hex"

on the Funcard. I prefered a prog named "twoprog25.exe" for my progger.
For other models you may take something named "PonyProg.exe".

When you have your up-to-date "eeprom.hex" you may either:
  • leave it unchanged
  • edit it with ISVEdit32b.exe to update some providers or keys or at your will.
You may either:
  • Write this .hex with the above mentioned tools to the Funcard
  • Convert it with ISVEdit into a .crd and write this with CardWriter.exe
to the FunCard. This method has some advantages, bcs you write the
providers and keys directly via the IrdetoACS1.2 to the EEPROM of
the Funcard and you do not need the SPI protocol and reflash the Atmel.
This may extend the lifetime of your AT90S8515 controller on the card.
You may get more support and the newest filez from one of these boards:
