Thanks for the info. Since I don't test Dish (only Bev and Dave),
I did not know that.

Fortunately, I've got 4 real Bev ROM10 Sub here.
I've dumped them last year when NagraEdit 3 was released.
I've checked the IRD Status Byte and it's "10" for almost
tiers for group of channels; it's "00" for individual channel.

The exception is min/max=0353/037A which has IRD Status
byte set to "00". If I check at the current tier listing, that range
corresponds to:

Name SID Tier
VU+EN 9001 0378
VU+FR 9002 0378
VU+PE 9003 0378
Vu+PF 9004 0378

In studying the above, I'm wondering if that's all the tiers which were on your card. I noticed the other day that if I didn't put a 00 tier on my card which covered the ppv channels, they disapeared from the guide. What would cause the PPV channels to appear on your guide or the normal subscriber's guide? They are tiered from 0190-01AA, but none of your tiers cover that range, so I'm wondering what enables them to be there for the average viewer (just in the guide, not open for free viewing)

Check Info #02: Min.-Max. = 00D2 - 01C9
which includes the 0190-01AA PPV range.

I've checked my legit ROM10 dump and it also has that tier.
But my rights identifier is "00177C" on all my 4 ROM10, instead
of "001774".

Ok, I feel dumb. I thought that was how they did it, but wasn't sure after seeing your list of tiers. Apparently I am just blind. Numbers flip around on me sometimes. I guess I just had one of those moments. LOL

It seems that I started using these similar tiers during bev's channel shifting and I lost channels 255,256 (BC locals) . Does anyone have the tiers for these or a dump of a rom3 after all the channel changes.

Default Am i adding the bytes that follow correctly? - 31st August 2003, 07:40 PM

Just getting going thanks to your great post on how to bev tier
but im lost on something. in first example you say this line is 1C or 28 bytes that follow:
!add 08 1C 0901 10 000000 00 000000 1714 1714 1714 4C21 4C21 0108 023F 8000 FF 00FF 00 but i count 30 bytes. Am i counting this wrong or something?
In the second example you say this line is 22 or 34 in decimal that follows: !add 0B 22 0901 10 0155FF 01 004999 1714 4C21 FF 0000 7FFF FF00 000000 7FFFFFFF 8003 1714 7FFF
And i come up with 34 bytes.

Please correct me if im adding this wrongly or something.
Thankyou

You should not count the data type and data length byte.
i.e. !add 08 1C (28 bytes followed...does not included 08 and 1C)
!add 0B 22 (34 bytes followed...does not included 0B and 22)
